Gladstone, QLD, April 2021
I have a monitor on my arm that connects to my phone, which tells me my blood sugar every five minutes. I’ve sacrificed a lot because of diabetes in my life. Like sleepovers, soccer games. Sometimes I have to sit on the bench because I got low and if I went out on the field I could pass out. I have to just cheer on the team for some games because I go low. I get all shaky and I feel like I’m just going to drop and my knees get all buckly. I get frustrated about that, having to sacrifice my game because I could pass out.
