Seymour, VIC, February 2021

I joined the army with the national service in 1968 and went to Vietnam for a year, and came back in 69. I was drafted into the army with 110 Signal and put in for cooking, because I was a baker. The national service was for 2 years.
I gained a lot of experience whilst over there, but it was the national service, I had to go. When I came back from Vietnam I opened up Doug’s Hot Bread in Seymour. It’s still here now, but I’ve retired a couple of years ago.
